BULLYING POLICY

At RAD Gymnastics we recognize bullying as a serious issue and we enforce a strict NO BULLYING policy. Research has found that children who participate in sports and activities can boost their confidence. We recognize that RAD Gymnastics may be that place for many children, and we don’t want bullying to ever discourage a child from doing what they love.

Additionally, RAD Gymnastics is committed to providing a community for each individual athlete or parent who walks through our doors, an environment that allows bullying would be prohibitive to this model. Our community will be focused on encouraging teamwork and group cheerleading. Bully will never have a place at RAD Gymnastics and all our staff is extensively trained in recognizing and mitigating bullying behaviors.

RAD Gymnastics identifies bullying as:

An Imbalance of Power:
Kids who bully use their power—such as physical strength, access to embarrassing information, or popularity—to control or harm others. Power imbalances can change over time and in different situations, even if they involve the same people.
Repetition:
Bullying behaviors happen more than once or have the potential to happen more than once.
Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.

If any child or parent has a concern about bullying please notify a RAD Gymnastics managing staff member immediately, just simply request one when speaking to the front desk.

PROTECTION FROM ABUSE POLICY
RAD Gymnastics follows all Safe Sport Policies.
